花季传媒 Manufacturing Solutions, one of North America’s largest mechanical solutions providers, has significantly expanded its manufacturing capabilities in Monterrey, Mexico, with an investment in new production equipment and dedicated data center rack manufacturing capacity. The investment adds 20+ new production machines and dedicated data center rack manufacturing capacity to support growth for AI and data center infrastructure customers.

Over the past six months, 花季传媒 has invested and installed new equipment and automation at its Monterrey campus, representing one of the company’s largest investments in manufacturing capacity to date. The expansion is centered in 花季传媒’s third 173k Sq.ft. Monterrey building, which the company secured earlier this year and has since transformed with the utilities, infrastructure, and equipment necessary to support full-scale sheet metal fabrication and high-volume production. The new equipment added includes the following:

Robotic Welding Cell

• Dual 6-axis welding robots
• Seam tracking technology for repeatable weld locations across all assemblies
• Trunnion positioners to optimize part presentation and cycle time
• Loading carousel to optimize overall equipment effectiveness between weld cycles to maximize output
• Proximity sensor technology to allow for rapid changeover in CNC programming across multiple form factors

Robotic Press Brake Forming Cells

• Six new servo-electric press brakes
• Feature 6-axis robots on a 7th-axis track to maximize flexibility
• Allows for greater statistical process control 

Automated Hardware Insertion System

• Ten new hardware insertion machines
• 6-axis robots on a 7th axis track to allow for lights out production
• Includes force monitoring systems to ensure secure installation of hardware
• Includes vision systems in support of zero-defect production

Automated Panel Bender & Material Storage Tower

• Prima Power panel bender with fast-load automated material storage and handling tower

Additional Fabrication Equipment

• Six new Prima Power punch/laser combo machines

Together, the new equipment substantially expands 花季传媒’s sheet metal fabrication capacity in Mexico while increasing automation, production flexibility, and throughput.

Data center rack manufacturing requires the right mix of specialized sheet metal fabrication methods. Programs often involve complex assemblies, tight tolerance requirements, high part counts, frequent engineering revisions, and quick production schedules. The new Monterrey capabilities are designed to provide the manufacturing flexibility and scale necessary to respond quickly as customer designs and demand change.

The combination of automated punching, robotic welding, bending, panel bending, material handling, and hardware insertion creates an integrated manufacturing environment capable of efficiently producing the sheet metal components and assemblies required for data center rack platforms at scale.
